This interactive, online workshop will build practitioner knowledge and expertise in teaching reading and writing skills necessary for success on the HiSET and beyond. Reading and writing are closely intertwined, and equipping our learners with skills and evidence-based strategies in both disciplines improves their abilities in both areas. And our focus on informational texts connects to the real-world tasks we ask of our adult learners as they prepare for their high school equivalency exam. Participants will be provided with resources, and will be prompted to plan for implementing the resources in their classrooms.
